GENOA, OUR SON & H.A.BARR

1897, May 21 Struck & damaged gates of lock 7 of Welland Canal causing

flooding of surrounding area

1898, April 19 Towing H.A.BARR, both light, driven on Middle Island

reef when engine gave out at False Presque Isle, Lake

Huron

Crews taken off next day by Middle Island Lifesaving

crew

By May 31 both vessels refloated under contract of

Captain James Reid & towed to Detroit by tug PROTECTOR

1898, July 5 In Bay City drydock for large repairs - sea ready by

August 20

1899 Towed H.A.BARR

1905, November 28 En route from Escanaba, Michigan to Lake Erie towing

schooner MARY MITCHELL, both with cargo iron ore,

driven ashore at Point Nipigon, near Cheboygan,

Michigan; caught fire & burned

1905, December 15 Enrollment surrendered at Cleveland, "total loss"
