Description
Sheriff Ed Hatch with the Lyon Brothers in custody on March 8, 1926 after the shooting of Chief of Police Dougal McKenzie, who was shot in the neck. The Lyon Brothers killed Special Investigator for the American Railway Express Company, Frank McGrath, in Norwalk, Ohio. McGrath was shot when he went to question the Lyon Brothers about a robbery at the Express Company office. James and Leonard Lyon fled north, and were captured in Alpena by farmers after they shot and critically injured Police Chief McKenzie.
