Dear Jo & Tom,
Not much new here for news, so I’ll just write you a card for now. Hope you are all fine there, we sure missed your not coming up last week-end. Oh, we’ve been busy here lately, went out Blackberry picking last Monday, and got a few berries and canned them, they were sure “scarce” out in Briar Hills though, and we didn’t get many. We also bought a bushel of pears this week & mom & I got them almost all canned now, we’d also like to get some peaches & tomatoes yet too. Oh, the weather is turning cooler here now, kind of fall-like. Gads, I don’t like the thought of winter coming! Rosalie is back in school now & likes it real well. We seen Joy Hilbertson yesterday. She’s going back to Ohio tomorrow. I’ll close for now & write more later. Take care of yourselves there & write soon. Everyone here says “Hi.” Love, Betty
