William Davis, Darlene Somers Faculty Moderator - ·M. D. Orr To Hell With Fidel Students of ACC, on May 2, held a rally; the theme of which was, "To Hell With Fidel!" After demonstrating for nearly three hours on the steps of the college patio, they started a mass riot which moved toward town at a rapid pace. The police and Fire Departments were forced to call in the Boy Scouts from troop 186 to hel_p quell the riotous · students. Under a constant barraige of beer cans and text- books, the Police were aJMe to quiet the students only after using flame throwers which were supplied by the Nati<mal Guard. No one was seriously injured, although many were killed instantly. Mr. Robert OEver, student revolt leader, is quoted as sayin/g, "We'll get those dirty Cubans yet!" News flash - Because of a violent riot by the students of ACC today, the Chisholm Street bridge will be temporar- ily out of order. Police and local Boy Scouts qukkly sur- pressed all of the boisterous students. Editorial ,- Well, I ~ee that Robert Oliver is at it again! It seems that the students revolted again today, and this is ;.=-....;;,...;=---....u.h'-"'. third time this :rn,Qnth. The theme :w.as "To Hell With Fidel," and this went as well as an the rest of Bob's riots. ·l'm sure all of you remember the Dinner Dance revolt which lasted almost the entire night of April 29. That was the first time I ever had to cross a picket line to enter a d'anoe. I hope that Bob realizes how many students he is harminigi by these radical demonstrations. Why, did you know, that over 30 collegiates were shot down in cold blood last night? ! Mr. Rioter strilkes again! This morning a certain youn,g student, whom we're all familliar with, started his third riot of the month. "To Hell With Fidel" banners were seen fly- ing from every auto antenna, and the students were out in force to help their leiader carry the •rriessage throt11ghout the city. Well, Mr. Rioter, I hope you're proud of yourself! And you know what I think of Eleanor Roosevelt.-Paul Smith Thanks! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped in the production of the TIMBER-CRUISER this year. A special thanks, I would like to extend, to Ted Compeau, who, throughout the YJear has acted as our courier between Alpena and Hillman, where the paper is printed. I hope that everyone has enjoyed our pulblication, and wish to ,extend my sympathies to Roger Bauer, next year's. editor. Good bye and good luck! - •Robert E.
