With this resolu- tion as our guiding light e c argeo ou om e- wor k and are successful for perhaps all of two weeks. There are. many factors that may call a halt to the glorious plans we had. Per- haps we can't organize our time properly, we may have too many disturbances at home, the books we need may not be available, or our place to study is in- adequate. Do you find that most of your study time is wasted time? We may · not be able to solve all of our study problems, but we all can · find a quiet place to work - the library. Our library is set up for people to study in free from disturbances. If your study attempts at home are unsuccessful, why not try the library? The library wifl be open for student study from 7 to 9: 30 p.m., Monday through Thursday eve- nings. The librarians and staff members will be in charge of the reading room and will be available for reference aid. Mr. Hartwick will be on duty Monday nights, Mr. Jeffries, Tuesday nights and Mr. Heimnick and Mr. Mayer on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The li- brary is a place designed for study, it doesn't guar- antee study success; that part is up to you. - Bob Lyngos. Michigan's citizens are loyal boosters of their state,. A.C.C. Opens New Technical Center Parking Lot Problems Being Studied In past years, the parking problem at Alpena Com- munity College has al ways been one of the major prob- lems at the opening of the school year. Last year's student council designated the area across the street from the college on Johnson Street as the parking facility for Community College stu- dents. The "oval" has been r eserved for faculty and visitors only. This was the r esult of students taking_ advantage of the parking liberties given them. Any"'.' body found violating these infractions will be warned once, fined the second and third time and face possible expulsion the fourth. Materials being pur- chased, are signs telling where parking will and will not be permitted. Also, Mr. Thomas Ritter, Student Di- rector, is looking into the possibility of having spe- cial student parking ·per- mits for their automobiles. Sometime in the spring, plans are being made for the building of two side- walks, one leading to Bes- ser Tech Center and the other to the parking lot from Central Hall.
