COLLEGE QUEEN Linda Kay Christie, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Christie of Alpena, was chosen Saturday, March 18 to represent Al- pena Community College in the Miss Michigan Junior College pageant. Linda is a freshman at ACC and is on the EIP program for a career in elementary teaching. Her interests range from both snow and water skiing to her favorite, dancing. Jury Finds Boy Not Guilty The Radio Drama· Club presented Twelve Angry Men, a play in three acts, · by Reginald Rose at the Civic Auditorium on March 27 and 28. The play took plaGe in an assimilated jury room where the fate of a 17 year old boy was to be de- cided. Dunckel, professor of physical and biological science and anatomy at Alpena Community College, has been selected as president- elect of the Michigan Asso- ciation of Higher Educa- tion. The announcement was made Thursday by Dr. Mil- ton Brown, director of the association which is made up of professors and in- structors in the universi- ties, four-year colleges and junior colleges of Michigan. The 4th Annu1l Gover- - nor' s Conference held this weekend in Lansing was at- tended by ACC faculty member De Lysle Henry with students Mike Dull and Todd Brady. This pro.gram was set up to inform the students of all of Michigan's social prob- lems. The highlight of the conference was a speech given by Governor Rom- ney. He and hi-s wife botf: stressed the need for vol- unteer work. Already there is a small tutorial service being or- ganized among E.I.P. stu- dents and Lincoln elemen- tary pupils.
