Page 4 POLEMIC November 1973 Meet the Rest of the Crew Tommy Murray Roger Bel I - 6'2½" 180 lbs. . Roger played an important role on last year's team and is expected to do the same this season. At Waite High School in Toledo he had the distinction of being named to the All-City team twice. Roger says he wants to continue on in basketball, pos- sibly to the professional level. He also is interested in coaching in the future or "teaching younger kids about the qame." Coach's Comments: "Big time prospect ... does everything well. .. fine team player". Dennis Dominic Mike Estes 6'5" 185 Mike is one of the five Toledo, Ohio products playing for the Lumberjacks. Of that group, Mike is the only freshman. He played his prep ball at Rogers High School in Toledo. Mike says he hasn't made any decisions on what he plans to do after college. Coach's Comments: "Good prospect, probably a year away from being a great forward ... will be fine shooter ... handles the ball well. .. plays good defense." Edward Lovvery Thomas Wyman 6'4" 175 Tom is the lone hometown boy on this year's team. He was a center for the past two year's for Ray Feher's Alpena High Wildcats. Tom is uncertain about his future job plans, but for now, as a freshman he is working in the area of Business Administration. Coach's Comments: "An Alpena native ... good rebounder ... hard worker ... could dev- elop into fine post." Tommy Murray 6'3" 185 Tommy is a freshman from Chicago. While starring at Austin High School he was named the "Most Valuable Freshman" and "Most Valuable Sophomore." As a junior he won All-Area honors. Tommy is a Physical Ed- ucation Major and indicates an interest in coaching someday. Coach's Comments: "Very quick ... good jumper. .. good competitor .. . could develop into Super For G." Roger Bell Dennis Dominic 5'.11" 175 A fellow "north country" resident, Dennis hails from • Petoskey. This is his first year at A.C.C. and is present)y pursuing an As- sociate Degree in Drafting. Like many of his teammates however, Dennis is unde- cided about his job future. Coach's Comments: "Fast ... tough defen- sive player ... with experience will become fine guard." Mike Estes Edward Lowery - 5'10" 145 lbs. A Freshman from Chicago, Eddie is a quick, agile guard. While starring at Austin High School he was chosen to the All,City and All-State teams. Physical Education is his main interest at A.C.C. He expresses an interest in becoming either a gym teacher or a basketball coach.
