Patty Cake ... Patty Cake ... Second Floor Cu ties When's my turn? My girdles killing me! Halloween Bash Successful On October 30, the Resident Hall As- sociation of Russell Wilson Hall sponsored a successful Halloween bash for the little children of the Alpena area from six to nine p.m. The Halloween activities were orga- nized and put on by the dorm residents . Each floor in the dorm had their own spe- cial part in the overall Halloween bash. The First floor - North - were the ones who planned the spook house, and brought it to life. The spooky music of cat fights, chain clanking, and ghosts walking provided the perfect background for the terrifying walk through the scream-filled spook house. The Second and Third floors - North - were the trick-or-treat centers for the children. The floors were decorated with streamers, jack-a-lanterns, cutouts, and little white goblins, to set the Halloween mood. The girls who passed out the candy, were dressed in various costumes, ranging from scarecrows to vampires. The First floor - South - conducted the spook trail tours. The trail was started by passing a friendly (?!?) lighted jack-a-lan- tern. As the children continued on the trail, they were greeted by a werewolf, a ghost or two, the growling thing, and the pumpkin man all hidden in the under- growth and trees . The Second and Third floors - South - ran the carnival held in the dorm's lounge. The children had fun bobbing for apples, receiving candy and refreshments, and lis- tening to the music provided by the accor- dian playing and voice of Dan Nivelt. All the children, about 150 in all, got into Halloween spirit by dressing up in their costumes, and joining in the activi- ties of song, games and food. November 1973 Dan Nivelt?
