The MCCB was formed to promote an interest in biology and the teaching of biology. It serves as a forum for sharing instructional techniques, current findings in biology, and new ideas for teaching biology. The organization fosters commu- · nication, friendship, and unity among the community colleges of Michigan. ACC instructors John McGill and Mark Milostan are also members of the MCCB. More than thirty biology instructors attended the conference. The topics included: "State of Zebra • Mussels in Michigan," "Biological Challenges facing Lake Hu- ron," and "Refractive Surgical Techniques in Ophthamology." "' Presl'nt 11ndFu1un• in Nursing I.. Unlike the normal Northeast Michigan weather, Saturday April 5 was great and the hat and um- brella attended the meetings alone. Congressman Bart Stupak recently visited Alpena Community Col- lege to engage in a wide- ranging discussion with ACC students in the Rob- ert and Jacquelynn Gra_num Theatre. Stupak told students that he did · not intend to run for gov- ernor, but would like to see the roads fixed. ) I l __.i Harry Gohlke ■ ..... _____________ _ 0 ffice Supp lies 0 ffice Furniture ' Office Equipment Gohlke Office Equipmcat 821 W .
