Heidi Skuse Co-Editor and Sports Editor This is a column designed for the students of ACC to ask questions without having to identify one's self. Write your question on a piece of £aper and put them in the "Ask Lum- berjack" boxes located in the lounge in Van Lare Hall, on the bench across from the Po- lemic office in the Besser Tech Building, in the lobby of the Natural Resource Center, and outside of the library. The questions will be collected and then Lumberjack will review them and pick one question to be answered in the next edition of the Polemic. None of the questions will be thrown away; they will be kept and possibly Since the beginning of this semester, Lum- berjack has been asked and heard others dis- cuss our great geese problem. "What is up with all of the geese around here?" one incoming freshmen asked. The geese are supposed to stay at the duck sanctuaries located on M-32 and US-23 North and Long Rapids Road. Supposed to is the key word. Just like anything else, they don't do what they are supposed to do. These birds feel it necessary to roam where they please. They 'not only like to invade our campus, these new "students" never attend class. They just walk around and leave wonderful little droppings on our cement, on our grass, and on our ve- hicles . They also find it thrilling to stop traffic- -] i terally. · This year the flowers that line the side- walk are the barriers to try and stop the geese from leaving droppings on the sidewalk. They look mu"ch better than the ropes tied on metal stakes that were put in the ground last year. So as one is maneuvering around campus, enjoy the flowers that line our sidewalk be- cause they are keeping the cement clean. Also be careful where you step once you leave the sidewalk because one never knows what they might eij_counter. Another tip, watch as one drives through campus for those "students" hurrying to get to the other side of the road they are protected by the law. ???????????????? • • • • • • ,I • • • • • • • • • A~k the Lumberjack ???????????????? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
