’ Lumberjacks Sweep 3-Game Road Trip By Greg Reeves The Lumberjacks extended their winning streak to seven and upped their record to 8-1, by sweep- ing their three game road trip, taking Davenport College 86-83, December 9, destroying Kalamazoo Community College 109-79 on Saturday, December 10, and beating Montcalm Community College 98-75 on Monday, December 12. Friday afternoon’s battle was by far the best, with Davenport more than a match for the Lumber- jacks, Davenport taking the lead 6-2 and never relinquishing that lead through the first half, ending up ahead 37-32. Johnnie Baccus led first half scoring with 10 points, Alonzo Weatherly had 6, Alex Mosley, Rick McGee, and Rod Everage had 4 points apiece.
