Donnelly received the title, President Emeritus, by the ACC Board of stees, This honor was conferred Thursday, January 21, at Donnelly's last meeting before his The board described Donnelly as "...an inspiration, teacher, and a leader..." The increased enrollment cost the college $300,000. The board revised the 1987-88 budget with tuition covering only 28 percent of the college's cost per student. Williams felt his duties here at ACC were not.clear and broad enough for his capabilities. Williams stated that "...here my role was nebulus...I was like a staff member, an assistant to another dean." Williams seemed quite positive about his move. Hopefully his outstanding accademic tallents will have an impact upon the new college he will be working at. William's final comment about ACC and Alpena was "I would like to stay here, but I must walk up the ladder."
