* MARCH 2, 1988 Page 4 UPGRADING VEHICLES FOR There is a new truck on campus belonging to the ee and Grounds According to a8 Witt, Director of Buildings and Grounds, the new auto improvement were needed to benefit two departments on campus. The college provides two vehicles, one for Witt and one for Chuck Wiesen (ACC's WAFB connection.) Wiesen's vehicle was becoming a mechanical burden for the college to maintain. Witt stated that “ WOULD YOU HAVE BELIEVED IT? ACC has living proof that a community college education may lead one on the road to to success. Former ACC student Dennis Grenkowicz is currently the Republican Chairman of Alpena County. and is a state delegate to the National Republican Convention. Grenkowicz attended ACC from 1973-1975. He received his associate degree in business Management and minored in journalism. He was on the staff of + the Nee ACC's former newspaj REE attending Central CAMPUS IMPROVEMEN discipline needed to prepare for a wise move to transfer the maintenance truck to Wiesen and purchase a new truck for maintenance." "The new truck will serve as a backup snowplow to the existing snowplow on campus." The. new truck was purchased from Louis Motors at a price of around $14 thousand. The truck was paid for from the maintenance budget. Witt stated that "The budget did not originally have allocations for the new vehicle, but the cost can be taken out of a different catagory in the budget." Michigan University, Grenkowicz retumed to : Grenkowicz feels good about community college education. He believes they provide a valuable opportunity for students to get the university. He feels positive about the small classes and advice given by instructors. Two twenty-five inch television monitors will be placed in room 450 NRC. Announcements will be given as to when programs can be viewed.
