If it appears to you that so far I have done nothing but complain about my friend's luck in love, then you are absolutely right. Why can't I just once have somebody fall all over me without having to make the effort? ( Hint , Hint ) To continue, I would like to speak of the efforts of another of i Hed t. 1 friend among the happiest men in the world. Now that I have done my best to help this friend out on his quest, I hope that he can find (better find ) a way to help me in mine. You see, mine is much simpler. All I ask for is a fairly cute, nice girl with even a moderate interest in me. To even be introduced to this girl is enough, just so I can have a well schance at finding even, temporary, Jet us say, stricken with a particular female. He is a co-writer on the staff here at the Lumberjack, and has even written articles on his quest for his queen. This is an altogether different form of spring love. It is, so far, only a one sided hopeful quest. For the sake of my friend's sanity, T hope the object of his quest has read both articles he has written, and will consent to allow him to take her out. I can guarentee that it will do much towards making this love. I 'd even settle for one, nice , friendly date.( HINT , HINT ) You see, it gets very lonely when you haven't even been on a date with anyone except a group of friendly, but ugly, guys in the last ten months. Yes, I do enjoy the company of my friends, but enough is enough. I hope, as a result of this column, to finally accomplish the results that both my friend and I have strived so long to achieve. I mean not to say that he have been beaten repeatedly with ugly sticks, but we do-think that we are — in the realm of slightly better than average looks (we think) and we are sort of sweet (in our own way) and sort of , ah, sensitive?? Yeah that's it, sensitive. Then if this is true, why do members of the fairer sex find us undesirable? Do we, as "Marvelous" Marvin Haggler would say, " Exude a most malodorous air." I have Right Guard Sport Stick at home, maybe we should try it. (anything for love) After all we are so desperate we will go to any length, no matter how ridiculous, to achieve recognition by those of the feminine persuasion, who have chose to ignore us.
