An Underground Tunnel Have you ever wondered what it would be like if there was no winter? Winter is one of the worst things that the citizens of Alpena have to go through. All that mess, the ice, the snow, slip and fall injuries. ave you come up wit an answer yet? No. Well, I have been thinking about it lately, since I am in a wheelchair and all. Now, don't get me wrong. I am not being selfish or anything like that. I have been thinking about the rest of you. God knows how many of us need to get rid of the whole winter mess. After weeks of hard thinking, I have come up with a solution and I think that it might work if the right people are involved. Could you just imagine if an underground tunnel was built under Johnson St. so people wouldn't have to cross the street to walk over to VLH? It would be neat to walk in the underground tunnel and not go out in the dead of winter. We won't have to freeze our tushies off just to reach Just think, the tunnel could be heated. The people could get warm as they walk along in the tunnel. They won't have to freeze or slip and fall. It would be the safest way to reach VLH . No one could get hurt or run over and everybody would be so happy. Just think of all the people smiling their hearts out as they enter VLH. The staff would be amazed of how they can get along with their students a whole lot better. That will really fool them. Maybe they will grade you better than when we didn't have a tunnel. The underground tunnel would cost a lot of money. I know that I can't pay the cost all by myself. How about you? Don't tell me that the answer is “Yes, Kory.” because I know that most of you don't have that much money. Maybe we can raise the money somehow. I have it. we can have a fund-raiser or something like that. ‘That will be a great way to mesial ol the kind and generous people out there who gave money. low, all we have to do is find somebody to build the tunnel. Any ideas? No. I know that I am still thinking about that too. Boy, wouldn't it be great if there were really an undergound tunnel? What we won't have to go through! Do you think that we will miss going outside and freeze our little tushies off? I think that the answer is going to be "No". We have to come to our senses. Now come on, do you think that the college is going to build a heated underground tunnel just so that people won't freeze? "No." will be the answer and we will just have to grind our teeth and bear the cold. What I have been talking about is only a suggestion to the citizens of Alpena, whether they go to ACC or not. Oh, one more thought: Wouldn't it be wonderful if my fantasy could come true? You can do it, you know. Until next time, this is Kory "Crash" LeFebvre signing off. =e by Kelli Beauchamp 99 Cents COUPON Two Fresh Lud's Regular Hamburgers or Two Lud's Tacos Famous Hamburgers Offer expires 6-1-90 R ions continued) system.
