A newly organized band, The New Esquires, entertained the students from 10 until 1. Punch and cake were served as :re- freshments at the dance. Miss Lutes represented Al- · pena Community College ill competition for the title of "Queen of Northern Michigan University Carnival" at North- ern in Marquette, Michigan. However Donna was unsuccess- ful in her bid for the title. The~• call themselves the ."What Founs" and consist of four promising students; Tom Hurley, Jannel Thomas, Tom Wachterha1.11Ser, and Pat Zurn. The What Fours have been entertaining in the Alpena areir for the last couple of months but now they have a chance to entertain at another school. The What Fours are entered in the Annual Michigan Intercollegiate Folk Contest at Olivet College. The contest at Olivet will be held on Friday, May 13, with ai prize of $100 for :fmst prize to shoot for.
