Page 4- Sigmci Phi Zeta Tosses Question Why should a college man give of his time and ability to join a fraternity? Not every college man should try to join a frat- ernity. If he is having trouble with his grades and does not have the time, then in all fair- ness, he should devote his time to his studies; for that is the primary purpose in attending col- lege. But if he has good grades, gets along well with people, and likes to render service, then it is very likely that he will be a success in a fraternity. Several good reasons why young men ar e joinging a fraternity are: (1) A great amount of personal satisfaction is derived from the exper- ience. (2) A service is rendered to the young men in the fraternity because they are able to receive the benefits of belonging to a fraternity. (3) He makes it possible for young men of like views to share the brotherhood that is part of belonging to a fraternity. (4) He creates an organ- ization that is nearly al ways a benefit to the institution in which it is located. Through the help of his brothers, he is able to make the institution a better place for these ·who follow. Fellowship Spirit Is On ACC Campus Peace on earth, and good will towards men - Christmas - A.C.C. - 1967 . The season to be jol - ly, and full of good cheer. Most men, asked if they believe that there are not enough men in this world who care about one another, would say that this is certainly, but sadly true. But how many of these men stop to take the time to say hello or even smile at a stranger during . the course of the day? Taking as evidence, the men and women- of A.C.C., just how often have you ijeen a student practicing fel- lowship towards another student who is perhaps a little less fortunate than he? We have a chance to serve our fellow student more often than we realize. One of the greatest things we can experience as a college student is our last- ing relationships which we can establish, with some real effort. So, in this Christmas season, let's try to get and keep a spirit which will re- m ind us of the constant and lasting fellowship · that we all should enjoy here at A.C.C. -Dan Gilmer THE TIMBER-CRUISER ALPENA COMMUNITY COLLEGE 1967-68 BASKETBALL SCHEDULE Saturday Nov. 18 ____________________ at Northwestern 8:00 P.
