There is no transposing figures anc;I n9 eyestrain. · · This system is three to five times faster than by hand. When a student checks out a book, they will be issued an identification card that is wallet size, which they must present to the person at the desk when checking out books. The identification card contains the name of a student, name and address of the library, an ex- piration date, and a number on the card and metal that is attached to the card. The identification card is put in the machine and it stamps the number on the check out card which is put on file. A book card is also stamped and placed in the book so the student knows when the book is due. The Gaylord Charging System is 101 ½ inches long, 67 1/8 inches wide, and 61¼ inches high.
